Socialized Homeschoolers Learning Fair

This was a neat opportunity for our homeschool kids.  Our co-op put together a learning fair.  Kindof like a science fair, but with lots more varietly.

Graci did a display about chickens.  She sure got lots of questions.

She really likes our chickens and did a great job explaining about them.
Before she got to her table, someone came up and asked Elijah how many eggs a chicken lays each day.  He paused and said, "Umm, about two or three."  Good thing Graci was there!

She also did a really nice display of her photography.  Way to go, Graci.

Ruthie and her friend, Emily, did a display about ocean life.  Ruthie's goldfish and Elijah's hermit crab got to participate, too.  Doesn't that look nice?

We had lots of super healthy snacks!

This is Noah's plate.  Hmmm.  He did a really cool display about germs and hand washing which used a black light to make the glowing goo show up on your hands.  I don't have a picture of his display, but I happen to have one of him with the black light.  We had a lot of fun with that thing!

Yeah, that's a little off the subject...

My 2nd and 3rd grade art class did some beautiful artwork.  I'm really proud of them!
This was Elijah's first art show.

We did a class on "Discovering Great Artists."   Here's their version of Monet, Georgia O'Keeffe and Henri Mattisse.

And or course, Van Gogh's, Starry Night.

All the kids did great and learned a lot.  They might even be a little more socialized.  Who knows?

Ruthie said that this is what a homeschool SHOULD look like.

  I agree.

I'm off to re-arrange the music room.
Happy Spring Break!
